The Florence Simmons Performance Hall is a theatre situated on the campus of Holland College. Our mandate is to bring in entertainment that not only reaches out to the general public but can also be educational experience to the performing arts students at the college.

Harbourfront Theatre opened its doors in 1996, the result of more than a decade of tireless effort on the part of a group of Summerside citizens with a vision to create a state of the art, multi purpose performing arts facility in Prince County. The theatre, along with the Eptek Art & Culture Centre and the Summerside Visitor Information Centre, is housed in The Wyatt Centre, aptly named after one of the facility’s major contributors, Dr. Wanda Wyatt.

Harbourfront Theatre is owned by Regional Cultural Events Centre Inc., a registered non-profit organization managed by a board of directors, general manager, and director of operations, and boasts a friendly, knowledgeable, professional staff and a dedicated core of over 90 volunteers. Its mission is “to provide a continuous live entertainment service to the Prince Edward Island community and its visitors, featuring both local and touring productions, while being a significant driving force within the community to encourage and nurture the development and appreciation of the performing arts.” The facility is ideally suited to a myriad of uses, including plays, concerts, opera, ballet, comedy & magic shows, conferences, seminars, receptions, business mixers, trade shows and public forums. Beautifully appointed and state of the art equipped, the Harbourfront Theatre represents the best of both worlds – large enough to host renowned touring acts, yet small enough so that every one of its 527 seats captures a uniquely intimate performer/audience experience.

The King’s Playhouse is a vital component of the cultural life in Eastern PEI. Our vision is one of creative and cultural growth through performance, membership and audiences. We seek to meet the needs of our audiences through the development of valuable ongoing relationships to create excitement, cultural awareness and community participation.

The original playhouse, built in 1887, was unique in the idea that a county seat should have a town hall that would house both the Town Council meetings and those community and cultural events that knit together small communities and make the long winter nights bearable.

Both professional, and semi-professional, touring groups came to Georgetown, playing out of trunks and picking up locals for bit parts. A Georgetown amateur society was formed and joined the growing ranks of local players on the island who toured church halls and community centres.

The mission of Le Conseil Rév. S.-É.-Perrey inc. is to develop and promote the West Prince Acadian community by organizing french activities and community events, in offering french services and in representing educational, historic, cultural, economic and political interest of the Acadians of West Prince.

The community Centre is managed by Linkletter Community Council (all volunteers).

Lot 16 Community Hall has been in existence for over 100 years. The Hall has a small black box theatre that hall holds 109 people and is equipped with a small sound system and a full kitchen. The Hall has been used for both local and community shows. The Hall is a non profit organization who’s goal is to provide year round entertainment to help keep the hall open. The Hall has regular user, seniors, 4H, WI and also hold a few musical shows and have theatre groups perform once a year.

The newly renovated Milton Community Hall serves residents of Miltonvale Park and surrounding areas. Located prominently at the intersection of the Rustico Road (Rte 7) and the New Glasgow Road (Rte 224), the charm of the old hall, and its “barn like” shape have been retained during its complete renovation.

Cater Weddings and Banquets for large groups; entertainment for community; on-site bakery; moving towards providing more cultural events for larger demographic.

The Souris Show Hall’s rich history makes it the oldest theatre on PEI. The Hall provides a beautiful, historic space with wonderful acoustics for live music and theatre. Red seats donated from The Confederation Centre creates a rich, comfortable interior accommodating 150 guests. Souris Show Hall has been rejuvenated in the last 5 years and provides Islanders and Visitors a wonderful venue for live music and theatre.

The St Peters Courthouse Theatre is Eastern Prince Edward Island’s favourite venue for live theatre and live music.

Tracadie community Centre serves a number of communities in rural eastern P.E.I. There is a longstanding Lions Club, a thriving Seniors group, exercise classes, card parties , semi-annual dinner theatres and special events such as dances, weddings,musical performances etc… The center has been renovated and updated in 2014 and boasts a large well-equipped kitchen.
